Yes, but it wasn't until AFTER that that I started upgrading my Paragon/Renegade point increase rate. I might be able to calm them down now, but it is too late... Oh, well. I'll have to play it over again for the "Long Service Medal" achievement anyway.

The Cain (A.K.A. Mini-Nuke launcher) is awesome, but it requires a full (100% or above) ammo supply to fire. Then it must be refilled again.

Wow...

I might have to get this game. Seems awesome. Does it matter that I didn't play the first one?

No. Though, if you did, you would have more specific types of encounters from those in the first game. For instance, you might meet up with someone from the first game from a fresh start, but if you use your old character, you might not, for they might have died or were pissed off in the first episode.

Things like that. Nothing that really affects the main story, of course.

PS: That last line sounds a little like "Dr. Mordin," eh?

PSS: I have just saved before I complete the last mission. Wish I could start, but lack of expendable time has come about.

PSSS: There is an achievement with which you are awarded if you reach level 30 with your character. I have done every quest and mission besides the last one and I am only about level 22. How is reaching level 30 possible in the game? Does playing on a harder difficulty affect the rate of experience distrobution/earning? Did I simply not explore questlines thoroghly enough to obtain the most experience? Or do you gain more experience if you import a character from Mass Effect 1? If one of you might post a link to a guide regarding this, it would be most obliged.

If you've played through the first game you'll also know more about the events that took place in the first game, so you'll understand how you got to where you are in the second game. You'll also know a bit more about the lore, so you may have a better understanding of why one species treats another one certain way, etc. In addition to those things, uploading a MS1 character will also award you some bonuses. For example, I loaded a level 60 MS1 character and when I started I got 150,000 credits, 10,000 of each resource, and I started out at level 5.

In order to get it, you'll need to play through the game twice with the same character. When you start a new game, choose "Import MS2 Character." This will let you play through the game with your level 22 character, and you should be able to level up to 30. I think the developers made it so that it takes you two playthroughs to get it, because you had to do the same thing to get to level 60 in the first game.

Thank you, I see. The only options right now are "Male," "Female," and "Import MS1 Character." I hope the MS2 importing option appeares.

TIP: If you are stuggling on diciding which heavy weapon is best to carry, take the Particle Beam. The most ammo and most accuracy is just as good as it's power to take out the enemy. (And, for best results, AIM FOR THE HEAD.)

PS: The AIM FOR THE HEAD remark reminds me of what happens when you shoot off one of those heavy mech's heads... The result is close the the firing of the 922 Cain. Spectacular!

PSS: (Yes, I'm doing that again.) Are you allowed to change your appearance and (most importantly) class after you import your ME2 character?

PSSS: I just read over the posts regarding the fight between Miranda and Jack. I went into Miranda's office, and she blocked me out ("If you want to have a little chat, go talk to your friend Jack." is what she said.); and though there were both charm and intimidate comments availible, I could use neither. I have almost completely maxed out my paragon points (mostly by talking to the crew and getting to know them (The Drell Assassin is, by far, my favorite.)) but I still am not allowed to choose the "Charm" option in the dialogue wheel (Which reads "Be the better woman."). Any tips on how to do that before I head through the Omega 4 Relay? (I have completed every other quest besides "Stop the Collectors.")

You may be able to change your appearance, but I'm pretty sure you can't change your class.

I'm not sure why you can't use them. You may have to increase your paragon some more, though that seems unlikely. It may be a glitch, in which case, I'm not sure how to fix it.

My favorite is Archangel. Him taking off his helmet and getting to see who he is, was one of my happiest gaming moments ever. Grunt is a close second. However, neither one surpasses Urdnot Wrex from MS1.

Grunt is good... Archangel is a total BA.

Well, I finished one playthrough, and it is too bad that I may not change my class. I was really hoping to play as the Infiltrator or something new. But there are nice bonuses, nonetheless. 50k of each resource was nice. I also reached level 30. The only acheivements I need now are:

1. Gaining the loyalty of the Justicar. (Totally screwed it up the first time, though I could have loaded my save point... Oh, well.)
2. Play through twice.
3. Play through on Insanity without ever changing the difficulty setting (This is INSANE! No wonder it is called that. I am on a fifth mission after 5 hours... It is EXTREMELY HARD. You die if you show your face for more than 2 seconds.).
4. Go through the Suicide Mission without any of your team being killed. (Would have gotten it the first time if Miranda was loyal (Stupid cat-fights between Jack and her screwed things up.). I wanted to keep her close so she WOULDN'T die, but in one of the cutscenes, she dies... This time, my entire crew will be loyal.... Hopefully.)

Mass Effect 2 is the best game I've played in a long time. I just got it about two weeks ago (sad, I know) but I have about 60 hours on it already. The only achievements I'm missing are "Weapon Specialist" "Overload Specialist" "Warp Specialist" "Insanity" "No One Left Behind" and one that I don't have the DLC for. The crazy part is that I got all the others on my first play-through. I'm 25 hours into insanity now, and it's even harder than it sounds. Love that game. Archangel is the [word censored]. I loved him in ME1 and I am considering naming my first born son after him.

I do like the carry over. It is nice that your decisions do have consequences that mean something. I do like the independent scales for good and bad morality. I've been evil/good for more material gain in star wars games cause I knew I could work off the unwanted bad/good points later.

I have found myself stuck in a place where the only way to get a certain achievement (The biggest and most important one) is to START OVER! It sucks, but I'll be alone for a bout two weeks very soon, so I should probably get it back from my best friend. Teehee. :3

I love Infiltrator over Vanguard now, but I am most likely going to pick something else this time.... Not sure what, but something... Sentinel, Soldier, Adept, or Engineer...... I don't know. Someone make a decision for me, plz. :3

EDIT: I added a poll. Vote please.
