Yay, Teinaava. :D

And @ Tom, did you use CSS for it?

Certainly! CSS is a very nice tool for web design. It loads faster, looks nicer, and makes pages more manageable to edit in the future. Some of the images/icons for the forum were made by phpBB, the people who developed this forum software. But, I did a lot of editing to the design to customize it to fit my liking. And, obviously, The Elder Stats website was designed and developed 100% by me, and Xavier was the head graphic designer for the website.

I'm glad you enjoy the site. 8-)

Tom and I worked long nights on it.

I have one question for you Xavier, did you use PhotoShop for the banner and other graphics? If you did, how did you manage to use .dss/.dds (I forgot the extension) in PhotoShop.
(I'm also curious about the text. I'm clueless when it comes to image editing)

Yeah, I used Photoshop for the top banner, the navigation bar, and the profiles you will eventually see.

Now for .dss/.dds, I think you meant .psd, which is the photoshop format. The .psd contains all of the layers you used to make the image. That's what you use to put together your creation. Then once you are done, you can save the .psd and save it as a .jpg, a .png, or whatever. The top banner is a .png.

About the text, what exactly do you want to know about the text?

I mean how did you get the images (like the mage/knight/fighter) from the .dss/.dds into the .psd file.

And for the text, I'm wondering how you just did it in general. I.E. Did you make the font, did you use a brush, etc.

I screenshotted them from the actual game and then I cropped them and resized them to go into the banner. For the text, Tom took the font design from the game and made his own font from it. It works pretty good.

Did you get the background image from the UESP?
(You have the same background image as the UESP)

I think we should get this thread back on topic. Questions about the Elder Stats' design should go in the Elder Stats Graphic Design Blog Discussion
