You might not be able to understand why Firefox is 1 million times better than Internet Explorer unless you ever become a web designer/developer. I've been working with web development for about four years now (give or a take a few months), and I've always noticed that IE has those quirky rendering mistakes that makes a website look different than it normally would in FF. FF renders much better than IE, which is a good thing for web developers. The thing I hate the most about IE is that, whenever I am designing a website, there is always some little annoying difference (or some big annoying difference) in the site's layout from FF to IE, and I hate having to take extra time out of my day to try to make my websites compliant with IE. IE is horrible, and even though the new IE8 renders better than the earlier versions of IE, it still can't match the rendering capabilities of FF3 (or even FF2, for that matter).
As a web developer, there are many reasons to hate IE. Maybe an ordinary Internet user such as yourself wouldn't find much of a problem with it, and that's fine, but believe me when I say that the world of web developers is praying for the day that the common Internet users stop using IE for good. It would save us
so much time developing and designing.
