Custom race naming

Postby The Ninja » May 28th, 2010, 4:57 am

So, I have mixed Redguards and Wood Elves, and gottne "Red Elves." (Come up with better names, if you are urged to do so.) I need a good name for a Nord and Wood Elf mix. And then, perhaps a mix of Breton and Imperial.

Let's see nord + wood welf. How about falmer or whatever the guy called the "ice elves" in solstheim in morrowind.
I would be a procrastinator, but I keep putting it off.

Thanks for the input, will research.

Later: If they have all (or most) of the acrobatic skills that Wood Elves have (along with the bow and Alchemy) but a taller, more muscular build, then that is the right race. Confirmation, please?

That is all the official information I could find... Not much, as you see.

Later: If this is what they look like, then this is not the right race:

Well there's no actual picture of a true falmer, they're all fan creations. Here's another site that also lists some speculations. Though if you're heavy into speculation the ancient steel armor you find in http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Bloodmoon:Jolgeirr_Barrow might provide a basis for body shape. Though it's only speculation if the owner was a Falmer. I don't know if you truly want to try and play a Falmer though or just borrow the name. Breton + Imperial, that's a hard one. That'd seem to be a fairly regular person.

That is the point. A regular person, not great at anything, really.

How about Terran then? Since that's not a planetary refrence in Tamriel it'd be something cool.

Sounds like it would fit, I guess. But, I can't help but be reminded of the human race in StarCraft when I hear that.

Hmm, how about a Sol if ya don't wanna be reminded of starcraft all the time hehe. I remember it be used in some game I once played to address humans. Well it was named after the sun really but the human nation was called the federation of sol.

As strong as a nord, but slightly shorter (making him just about average height) due to his Bosmer genes, and just as skilled and agile as a Wood Elf. So, in short, a Wood elf with more of a Nord's body structure.
