Unsurprisingly, the issue was with Internet Explorer. Any members who were using Internet Explorer and were trying to upload photos to their character photo galleries experienced the same error when uploading either .JPGs or .PNGs. It would always say that the format of the image was incorrect, even though it actually was an accepted image format. We came to realize that this problem lied in Internet Explorer's interpretation of file types, and how it has it's own way of interpreting file types that is quite different from all other sane web browsers. Sounds like a typical Internet Explorer situation.
Anyway, to make a long story short, there should be no more problems when uploading .JPGs and .PNGs to character photo galleries anymore. We're sorry that it took this long to figure out and fix this issue, but we hope that all of our members can start using their character photo galleries normally again now that this issue has been resolved.
