A small suggestion;
Could you make it so that external links posted in the forum opens in a different window?

This is already enabled. However, in order for a link in a post to open up in a new window, you must place the full link in between URL tags. Here is an example of a link that would open in a new window:

If you do not place URL tags around a link like that, then the link will not open up in a new window. I will work on making links that do not have URL tags around them open in new windows, but for now the compromise would be to place URL tags around all links in posts.
