Left 4 Dead 2 Discussion

Postby Grayfox » November 16th, 2009, 11:43 pm

We have long anticipated this. It comes out tomorrow. Xavier even made a thread when they announced it.

So I figured we could have a little discussion thread (Because it is better than modern Warfare). Xavier would have made one anyway.

Lets get rollin' (Like I roll through hordes of zombies)
I come from the BGS forum. I'm a writer.

I've preordered and preloaded it on Steam so it's all ready on my computer for me to play, but I can't play tonight due to a vast amount of work that has fallen on me tonight. Tomorrow should be a fine day to play it, however, so I am not going to read anything about it until then.

I don't know if I ever will.

It is not that I have anything against L4D, it's just that I haven't even played the first one, so I'm not in the loop. Also, I am spending all my free time in MW2. Lastly, If my mother walked in while I was decapitating zombies with a chainsaw (which is awesome) she would complain to dad about my playing an evil and disgusting game. (And, yes, I had to turn the gore in GOW off for my mother's sake.)

You don't have to have played the first Left 4 Dead to enjoy the second one, but it would make you understand the game better.

I would get L4D2 if I wasn't boycotting games that utilize Steam (with the exception of games who were Steam'd post release). Looks like a great game though.

What a pointless boycott...

But anyway, Left 4 Dead 2 is nothing short of phenomenal. I have never looked forward to a video game more than Left 4 Dead 2, and Valve has not disappointed me. I haven't even played through half of the game so far, and I am already hooked. Actually I was hooked at Chapter 1 of Dead Center, the first campaign.

Pointless, yes. But I refuse to support Steam in any way.
