FPS, or First person shooter.
My hat goes off to Cod 4. For amazing gameplay.
Greatest FPS Ever.

Being the long-time faithful Half-Life fan that I am, I must choose Half-Life 2.

Ahhh, I knew I forgot a huge one.... But the poll seems good enough.

I think that BioShock was good and very well-done, but I don't really think it has all of the characteristics of a number one FPS game.

Re: Greatest FPS Ever.
The Halo series got old the 16th time you beat it.
The Call of Duty series was meh, and in Call of Duty 5 you would get that random satisfaction of that random head falling off.
The second Rainbow Six seemed creative -with the whole kill count- but it would mean that to get that super-awesome gun you would need to beat it 40 times over.
The Star Wars games are usually third person shooters, as far as I've seen.
I would go with Call of Duty 5, because I don't think Fallout 3 would count.
(I'm not going to vote until I get an answer)

I vote Half-life 2. And World at War is not call of duty 5. It another title like "COD: roads to victory. COD5 is coming out this year though.

I'm going to have to go with Half-Life 2, for it's amazing gameplay, graphics, storyline and it's revolutionary physics engine.

Re: Greatest FPS Ever.
Yeah, it is Call of Duty 5. I looked it up on Google and it kept saying Call of Duty 5: World at War. Plus, I went on 1up.com to look at an article for the next Call of Duty game which is coming out later this year, and on the side I saw this:
So, therefore, it is in fact Call of Duty 5.
